TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY-FIVE

This was the 295th participant. She did two casts in 1999, a frontal and this one that was used in an exhibit entitled, "No If's, And's or…", and of course consisted of all "butts'! She was 29 years old and was an attorney for a large corporation. She had related to me about when she was in college, they had designated one of the bathrooms in her sorority house as the "barf room". This was used by her and others for purging after they ate. She said it was unspoken but that you could tell who used the room just by the look in their eyes. While she has it more under control now, it is a continual battle for her. As you can see, she has very little body fat but yet when she saw her piece, she said that she, "saw myself as fat"… not that she was, she just saw herself this way. This is just one of the many examples I have run across that shows that many times we 'see what we expect to see' rather than what we really are.
