University of Wisconsin 2000

This exhibit contained 30 pieces. Over one half of the pieces were students and people connected to the University This was co-sponsored by several campus groups with the primary sponsor being the women's center with help from the union art committee. This exhibit contained female pieces only by request. The exhibit was dedicated to the memory of Mimi Orner. Mimi was in the women's studies department. We had corresponded for two years while she worked on getting this project to the University. She was scheduled to do a cast for the exhibit but fell ill and passed away several weeks later. Her persistence brought this exhibit here and the hard work by the women in the women's center and the art committee made this a very special exhibit.
